Collection

After the fish is processed as food, the fish skin is sent to a tannery. Full farming and thorough breeding management make it possible to provide a stable supply in terms of size and quantity.

Fleshing

Each piece is carefully trimmed by hand to remove any remaining meat and fat without any scratching.

Fat and protein stains that cause a fishy smell are thoroughly removed at this stage.

Tanning

While the tanning process differs depending on the collection, standard-line “KUROSE” is vegetable-tanned. The other lines are also chrome-free and eco-friendly.

Dying

To bring out the beautiful scale patterns and best colors, we dye using dye powder while adjusting pH and finish with a repeated coating process.
